“The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they’ve printed.”

1. Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2. Indicate (ˆ) those you intend to read.
3. Underline the books you LOVE.
4. Strike out the books you have no intention of ever reading, or were forced to read at school and hated.

My Love Will Get You Home

If you wander off too far, my love will get you home.
If you follow the wrong star, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If the bright lights blinds your eyes, my love will get you home.
If your troubles break your stride, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever feel ashamed, my love will get you home.
When there’s only you to blame, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home,
Boy, my love will get you home.

end of procrastination!!

the queen is back blogging!! i was busy watching “溏心风暴” and i finally finished it!! it was a really good show! i cried buckets but not as much as 1 Litre of Tears. too bad chantel don’t understand cantonese nor can she read chinese words. if not i’ll definitely bug her to watch this show!! =D

anyway, met up with chantel, krys & clara for dinner just now! it was raining cats & dogs!!! because krys, chantel & i walked to Simpang Bedok 1st, all 3 of us were bottom-drenched. and my slippers was filled with those sandy particles and it was super dirty & uncomfy!!! >.< had yummy noodles!! and we forgot to take pics again. T.T

comms ball!

i have loads to complain about the comms ball..!! took like eons to get my hair done.. and i looked like an aunty.. -.-” then went to do my makeup.. chantel kinda recommended it.. but it sucks.. was doing it halfway and i asked for a mirror cos i had a bad feeling about it.. WAH LAO!! i look like a ghost!! had to go home & redo my makeup.. the foundation she slapped on my face was DAMN THICK! i had to use 2 cotton pads to remove it can?! and i think i did a better job lo!!!

then get dressed & everything.. it was all fine.. except that i looked fat.. and my boobs are too small..!! :( so many pretty girls there.. so envious of them!! the best part about the ball was that his captain proposed!! this is the 1st time i saw someone proposing!! even though it wasn’t very romantic or what.. but i still think it’s very sweet..!! :)

alrights.. i only have one pic for now.. and it’s damn formal.. wahaha!! look like some engagement pic or something..!!

tai tai life!

yesterday met up with the girls for lunch @ Cineleisure. ate @ Sakae Teppanyaki. i finished all my food except for the rice! :D i should stop complaining about how fat i’m because i can’t control my food intake. T.T anyway, we took neoprints! which i’m quite lazy to scan & upload. will upload all after chantel has uploaded them. wahaha~ went shopping for my heels for comms ball. so mafan! now i think i got most of what i need except a stupid shawl. -.-”

then at night i went to do my nails in a home salon. i’m quite pleased with my toe nails and i really like the fact that she’s very serious when she’s doing the nails. like perfectionist like that! that’s why we took quite long to finish our mani-pedi session. was quite upset that because i didn’t bring enough money, i couldn’t do this really nice design. and she helped me do bling bling with rhinestones! u know how rhinestones don’t shine after they come in contact with glue!! very upset!!! i could have done the nails design @ home BY MYSELF!! :( was angry with myself for not bring enough money!!

then inside me i was hoping that my stupid bf will say that he will come & pay so i can have crystal bling bling instead. but all that came too late la. he only said it when the whole thingy was going to end. stupid bf. got so angry that i didn’t wanna talk to him after that. HMPFT. right after the manicure i felt so angry that i didn’t wanna attend the comms ball too. TMD. not very satisfied with my nails la! :(

all in all, i didn’t have a really good day yesterday. SAD!

whiny :( :(

Chiang Mai Day 4 & 5

on day 4, we traveled from Chiang Rai back to Chiang Mai. on the way, we stopped at the “Taj Mahal” in Thailand. the whole temple is designed by this man, who is proficient in drawing those buddha-kind of portraits. so they say, the whole “project” will take around 100 years to complete, till now it’s only 20 years. -.-” by the time they finish building & carving the whole temple i wouldn’t be able to see it!

okok let pics do the talking!!

chio bo!! TOILET LEH!!

becos i was wearing shorts + tanktop that day, i have to wrapped in cloths. do i look like a nun?

meal worms!! >.<

and we had lunch at this place where we also bought some of the local products back. like the cashew nuts (in caramel!!). and cuttlefish.. the tour guide warned us about buying cuttlefish from roadside stalls because some of the Thais actually used tree bark!!! so be careful!!

u can see how playful my dad is.. -.-”

then we went back to the Hot Spring place cos my cousin wanted to get the bag similar to mine and more jewelleries! :)

they even got a free motor ride! :P

no la. it’s because they don’t have the machine for credit cards in this shop so she had to bring them to another shop to swipe the card. hehe! they got a free ride anyway!! :) and then we went to this place where they make hand-make their umbrellas and paint them~ they also offer paintings on shirts, skirts, anywhere!

1st, u have to beat the pulp

throw them into the well and let it soak for 1 night. then using the wooden stick, stir the well until u can see cotton woolly material~

then use the blue thingy to scoop up those “wool” and let it dry~

AND TADAAAA~~ U HAVE PAPER!!!

next, u stick one layer of the paper on 1st..

then, add one more layer & let it dry! and then u paint the umbrellas…

TADA! FINAL PRODUCT!

dear aunty making holes for fans!

and we can paint on wherever we want! before that, we choose what designs we want first!

me & dragons?!! lol~

cousin shin getting her skirt painted!

my bag! i prefer butterflies!!

and tada! and of trip. went back to hotel & shopped more at the “night bazaar” which opens in the late afternoon too!

and this stupid uncle scolded us la!! we were at his stall choosing tanktops but he quoted such a high price & there wasn’t any smaller size so we left the stall la. as we were choosing we were also talking about some stuffs, then when we walk away he was mumbling away in Thai can?!! then we turned back and he said, “TALK TALK TALK, GO BACK HOTEL TALK!” WAH LAO. LAO NIANG ANGRY CAN?! then i shout back, “EXCUSE ME! EVEN IF I BUY I ALSO WON’T BUY FROM U!”

wah piang!! what kind of attitude is that man!! no wonder he didn’t have much business!! grrr! this kind of man makes me mad!!! anyway i bought a board shorts for my brother and it’s very nice can?! :) then slept and woke up early cos we’re going back! ^^

AND THE END~~ STAY TUNED FOR COMMISSION PARADE 69/07!! :D

Chiang Mai Day 3 - Chiang Rai

we woke up at 5.30am (Thai Time) and set off at 7am. the journey to Chiang Rai is about 3 - 4 hours, we stopped at Chiang Rai Hot Spring after a 2 hour mini-bus ride. and it’s shopping time! hahaha. i got myself a bag, for shopping @ pasar malam. :) it’s a very sweet pink!

there was this baby in the shop who smiled once she saw my camera!! SO CUTE CAN?!

tour guide is bored cos they were all discussing about which jewellery to buy & such.

boon & i decided to take our pics first while the rest were still fussing over which one to buy. =X

notice it’s HOT SPING and not HOT SPRING lol~

and then off we went to the Golden Triangle, where we took a boat trip around the borders of Thailand.. to Myanmar & Laos. we can’t step onto Myanmar’s land cos the security is rather tight. we could stop at Laos for 45 mins?! lol.

casino in Myanmar.. only can see from far.. cannot enter!!

and then we went to Laos.. the things they sell…

snake in wine..

穿山甲

lizards?!!

this is 虎鞭. meaning the tiger’s ahem. LOL.

and then back to Chiang Rai again..!! visited the temple before setting off to other places..

and we went to the jade factory where we became models!! muahahaha~

and then to the place where the 3 tribes lived in.. the Long Neck Karen, the Papaya Tribe & one more.. cannot remember.. =X

tour guide giving us lessons.. obviously i didn’t listen cos i forgot the name of 1 more tribe! T.T

now u know what i’ve been doing.. -.-”

imagine 5kg on ur neck!

i got pics of everybody else’s pics but nobody took mine?!! FRUSTRATING CAN?!!

this is the tribe that i cannot remember the name.. lol..

nothing much abt them.. just selling their souvenirs..

guess what we saw before we enter the gate?!!

these puppets will ensure that the tribe have lots of descendants..

Papaya tribe. last time they don’t wear any clothes.. and the women have to carry the babies on their back while they work in farms & all.. when the baby cry for milk.. they can’t possibly stop their work just to feed their babies right?!! so they throw their breast behind so the baby can drink the milk. that’s how they get the name.. Papaya tribe..

in the olden days, 4 girls will sit on the swings. if the guy like the girl, he will throw the flowers for her to catch. if she likes him, she will reciprocate by throwing the flowers back to him. now that the swing is spoilt, it’s dangerous to sit on it. LOL. =X

another one just after we leave the place.. super long.. LOL

and lastly we went to a market right at the end of Chiang Rai.

boy carrying his bro out and begging for money..

and we stayed at…

interesting name right?!! hehe!!

ok.. still have day 4 & 5.. i’m gonna combine those 2 days together if there are not many pics.. :)

whiny!
